Simon Bolivar was the son of a Venezuelan aristocrat of Spanish descent. Bolivar was born to wealth and position. He was born on July 24, 1783 he received a sastifactory education from tutors in caracas. He got married to a spanish woman & in a short amount of time (1 year) she died from yellow fever. (illness of tropical regions, caused by a flavivirus & was spread by mosquitos.)
